por el presente otorga al abogado EDWIN
OTONIEL MELINI SALGUERO un MANDATO
ESPECIAL amplio y bastante para que le represente ante
las oficinas y autoridades de las Repúblicas de
Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica y
Panamá que correspondan,
para la obtención del registro, renovación y
protección de sus marcas, nombres comerciales,
expresiones o señales de propaganda, indicaciones geográficas,
patentes de invención,
variedades vegetales, modelos de utilidad, dibujos
y modelos industriales, y otros asuntos de propiedad
industrial, derecho de autor, derechos conexos y asuntos
de propiedad intelectual, asimismo para que pueda efectuar
toda clase de registros administrativos en que la mandante
pueda estar interesada, a cuyo efecto lo faculta para
efectuar los procedimientos necesarios, presentar
solicitudes, hacer declaraciones, pagar impuestos,
justificar explotaciones, otorgar licencias de uso,
solicitar testimonios, recibir documentos, para comprar,
vender y traspasar previa autorización por escrito, para
aceptar transferencias, interponer y desistir oposiciones
y hacer cuanto fuere necesario ante cualesquiera
autoridades administrativas, judiciales o de lo
contencioso-administrativo y ante Tribunales de cualquier
otro orden, incluso ante la Suprema Corte de Justicia y
Corte de Constitucionalidad y ante los Centros de
Conciliación y Arbitraje;
para plantear y responder a todas las reclamaciones
y demandas que se presenten por causa de la solicitud,
registro, o renovación de marcas, nombres comerciales,
expresiones o señales de propaganda, indicaciones geográficas,
patentes de invención,
modelos de utilidad, dibujo y modelos industriales,
y asuntos de propiedad industrial, derecho de autor y
asuntos de propiedad intelectual y asuntos relacionados
con toda clase de registros administrativos, pudiendo
interponer toda clase de recursos ordinarios y
extraordinarios, pudiendo promover procesos
constitucionales de amparo e inconstitucionalidad, con
facultad para sustituir este poder total o parcialmente,
en caso necesario revocar dichas sustituciones y otorgar
mandatos especiales en caso necesario, teniendo todas las
facultades especiales detalladas en el Artículo 190 de la
Ley del Organismo Judicial de Guatemala.

OF ATTORNEY, to represent us before national offices
and authorities of the Republics of Guatemala, EL
Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama that
correspond, for the registration, renewal, and protection
of our marks, trade names, slogans, geographical
indications, patents, plant varieties, utility models,
industrial designs, other
matters of industrial property and copyrights, neighboring
rights, and other matters of intellectual property, and to
be able to make any kind of administrative registrations
in which the mandator might be interested, for which we
authorize him to take the necessary steps, to file
applications, to make statements, to pay taxes, prove
workings, to grant licenses of use, to apply for certified
copies, to receive documents, to buy, sell and transfer
with previous written authorization, to accept transfers,
file and withdraw oppositions, and to do whatever
necessary before any administrative authority, and all
other courts, including before the Supreme Court of
Justice, the Constitutional Court and the Arbitration and
Mediation Center; to file and answer all claims or suits
that are presented due to the filling or registration, or
renewal of marks, trade names, slogans, geographical
indications, patents, utility models, industrial designs,
other matters of industrial property, copyrights and other
matters of intellectual property and matters related to
all kinds of administrative registrations, being able to
file all kinds of ordinary and extraordinary appeals,
being able to promote constitutional actions pertaining to
constitutional protections and unconstitutionalities, with
the faculties to substitute totally or partially this
power of attorney, to revoke such substitutions and to
grant special power of attorney if necessary, having all
the special powers specified in Article 190 of the Law of
the Judicial Organism of Guatemala.
